Greetings, fellow geek. My name is Cat “The Marauder” Chapman, and I’ll be your guide today.Your guide as we take a look inside my head.

I was born on January 13th, ’92. Math is hard, but you can figure it out.

I grew up in Camp Verde, Arizona. I now live in Flagstaff.

Throughout my adolescence I went through many phases and obsessions regarding what I wanted to do with my life. Video game designer! (What gamer/geek doesn’t go through that phase?) Computer engineer! Linux administrator! Mathematician! (Ha.) Cognitive scientist! Neuroscientist!

If anything, all of those had one thing in common – I knew that I at least wanted to be a scientist of some sort. You’ll be happy to hear that I haven’t abandoned that ambition, and am now currently studying biology at Northern Arizona University, with a possible emphasis on entomology – I haven’t decided yet. That’s why I am currently working/volunteering (I treat is as my job) here - our museum of arthropod biodiversity. We have some great minds involved with entomology here, but that’s not a surprise. NAU has a pretty excellent biology department. <3

Interests include science, computers, video games, photography, human-caused catastrophes (Chernobyl, Bhopal, etc), atheism, Vulcans, Corgis.
